Sands of Time

The image of the sand (sands of time)being emptied in the hourglass creates a visual metaphor for the limited duration of human life, and for the inevitability of change in the world as a whole.

We all have formed our own perceptions of happiness right from childhood. A lot of these definitions of being Happy are because of conditions like upbringing and society in general.

That is why; none of us has actually dwelt about what exactly makes us feel happy! our sub-conscious mind plays a major role by allotting a time frame as we call momentary pleasures for short term happiness and we simply feel the bliss for a little period longer. So remember it’s all about the time frame. And when I say Time it reminds me of “The Time” frame-“Main Samay Hun(from the legendary Mahabharata series) means time is immortal”.

I am sure it’s fair to say that I’m a bit of a self-help junkie. I’m always consciously looking for inspiration and ways to help others while also helping myself. I was an occasional blogger, but started taking my writing seriously during Corona healing. And also, I really like to write about my life, my thoughts, what I feel strongly about and lessons learnt.

But I’ve also recently realized that too much self-help can actually be harmful. Getting too wrapped up in it can be distracting and unhealthy in the long run. Too much self-help can cause you to over analyze situations through lens. There’s a difference between being self-aware and being overly analytical.

Ever noticed, how it’s often easy to help a friend with a problematic situation than help yourself with the same one?

Or how when you can’t figure something out, you turn away for a bit or sleep on it, and suddenly because of lapse of time you find you have more clarity or feel a little better about the problem? Look again “The Time” frame-“Main samay Hun(from the legendary Mahabharata series) means everything is time”!

In fact it’s that if we can get some distance from our problems Or thoughts, there is more clarity, feel less over-whelmed by our worries (wouldn’t that be nice?), and come up with better solutions.

But how do you get distance between you and your own thoughts? I mean they are inside your own mind – how do you get away from the Brain-Mind Mix-up? Brain is a tangible organ, it can be surgically reached and fixed if something goes wrong. But our Mind is intangible, it can’t be touched and fixed. Only practices like sometimes Disconnect To Reconnect can help i.e., meditation.

It is certainly possible to develop a winning mindset so that you can achieve everything in life that you want.

You need to simply accept that it’s going to take time and effort to develop your Positive winning mind-set. Look again “The Time” frame-“Main samay Hun(from the legendary Mahabharata series).

Know what you really want, set goals and make plans, change your subconscious mind to empower you to achieve your goals. Taking consistent action is essential for the development of a winning mind-set Too much self-help can pressure you to strive for perfection.

Typically, our anxious perception makes us feel that the current situation is not good enough, forces us to rush to Z in full speed.Ultimately, it simply measures progress as a measure to reach a certain level of perfection, and that is an unreasonable amount of pressure to put on ourselves. Perfection doesn’t lead to growth. Flaws and mistakes do.

The answer is in how we use language and the way we ask to our self. And you actually already do this….while playing a game of Chess. Each type of piece moves in a distinct way and it’s a part of you. And again it takes time to become a grand-master.

Have you ever said, “part of me wants to be perfect and go as per the to-do-list, but another part of me wants to procrastinate.Or maybe you’ve felt “I don’t know why I keep doing this!”

If you’ve ever said or done anything like that, you realize that we all are made of “parts” and we have this amazing ability to observe our own thoughts, almost as if we were watching or taking note of somebody else. It’s actually pretty cool if you can learn how to do it — it becomes a little clouds pass through the sky.

It is important that you understand how your brain works so that you strengthen your belief that you can develop a winning mind-set.

On-the-Spot switches from negative thoughts, use your inner wit & wisdom to make the intangible mind work for you. Always keep in mind “This is just a thought and I am not my thoughts.”

Lives of great men all remind us We can make our lives sublime, And departing, leave behind us Footprints on the sands of time. …
