During Pandemic:Third party Vendor’s plight

When Plight, is Stepping Stone ;

Losing your job during a Pandemic is not your doing, don’t let it define you.

Hey people! what’s up hope you all are doing well. No, today’s topic is not a sob story.But the reason why I wrote this is because its bitter truth.

When I commenced my career in the recruitment industry there was no training module on “recruiting through a pandemic.”A recruitment consultant’s job is to find the best person (candidate) for the job role mentioned in the Job Description THE BEST MATCH and present them to the employer, THE ” CLIENT”.

The client will interview the candidates and hire the best one.A career during pandemic working as a consultant for a recruitment Agency is  close to impossible, it’s usually praised for the strong challenging environment it provides(battle ground).

One tends to loose figures on projects with high impact clients,  not to forget the training which comes, thanks 🙂  to exposure into various domains and technologies….blah ! blah!blah!

But it has ‘in or out’ culture probably the rationale why not many choose it and for a few there’s no choice but to face the music.

It is an understatement to say that we are living in frightening and uncertain times.Guys!people are loosing their happiness (jobs) day by day because of so many reasons which doesn’t seem reasonable.I’m in the same boat.Don’t Blame Yourself, or Your client, Your Boss or the Pandemic.Be kind to yourself and clear your mind.

If I’m not (my job title here), then who am I?IDENTITY?#@$%^* crisis! crisis!crisis!

The Challenge:

The most interesting part i.e, “THE CHALLENGE” which becomes plight when after OFFER your candidate whom you sourced out of the box via Social Media,(its you; who built the rapport, its you; who built trust, its you;who scheduled, its you; who negotiated blah blah blah.…..aHH!) remember the entire gamut of recruitment???….is now declared “INTERNAL DUPLICATE” during offer release.How???

“If you don’t have a vision you’re going to be stuck in what you know. And the only thing you know is what you’ve alreadyseen.”

Realization:

“A boomerang is a thrown tool, it returns back to the one that throws it.But first, while spinning, it hits its target.”

But sadly in recruitment, the person who throws it;eventually becomes the target to get the blow. Don’t loose your mind over it,because it only headache which remains.So take it easy guys,it’s just a bad day.

 ‘Without my career, how do I define myself? What is my identity?’ Then, I was struck with an answer.”I’m defined by the way I treat myself and of-course others”.

Vision:

Look for an alternative path its time to churn yourself(introspect) the actual you and start working on it.“I finally felt like a ‘real’ writer,if any sentence is strong enough to change one’s perspective from negativity to positivity,including you then ,pursue that passion and rest leave on god.. “I started to feel less like an artist and more like ‘a professional.’

Thumb rule:”Keep calm and carry on.” “The only thing we have to fear is fear itself.” “Don’t worry, be happy.”
